Hello everyone! Today is giveaway day of my series of Lovely Little Valentine paintings. This is #7 of the series and it's up for grabs starting today, February 7th-February 9th 10pm. CST.

So this painting has a little extra than my normal little paintin
gs. As I had mentioned in January, that I will be adding more into my little paintings such as furniture and such. And with this one I did. I titled it " Let's Play Our Love Song ". Now who doesn't have a special love song. These two cute little mice are dancing on the piano and playing a sweet love song. And for music lovers, I know you'll enjoy my robin's egg blue french piano. My boys even got involved with this one and told me to add a picture above them with the two mice kissing. Paolo Nutini's song "Loving You!" Absolutely the best. Tracy and I heard this song before we took off for a trip to Colorado last year. Its been our song and stuck on our iPod ever since. Loved it so we played it as the last song at our reception. It actually comes a close second to Adam Sandlers song called "Want to grow old with you." :-)

Favorite love song of all time is "At Last." And no imitations for me... just the Etta James original. Danced to it at our wedding.

Hi Marnie--My favorite love song would be my wedding song--"Follow me Follow You" by Genesis. Even though I got married about 20 years after I first heard it, I always knew I wanted it to be my wedding song. A little quirky, but it fit. I also LOVE the painting, as I do all of your work. It's a little vintage & alot sweet!

Hi Marnie! I don't have ONE favorite love song. I guess it really depends on my mood. :) Today, I'm feeling a little "I Wanna Know What Love Is". :)

This is so cute Marnie! My favorite love song is "In Your Eyes" by Peter Gabriel. I could never get tired of that song!

My favorite song is "Love Is In The Air" by John Paul Young. I remeber when I was a kid on a sunny Saturday morning and my Dad would put this LP on the turn table and no matter what part of the house and no matter her mood she would stop what she was doing and come dance with my dad. That was Love. It would change the entire mood of the day. Happy Valentines Day to all and tell someone today You Love Them.

Hi Marnie, I love this print, it's so adorable! The first song that
came to mind is Paul McCartney's
'Silly Love Songs", I have many
favorites but this tune seemed
to fit these two whimsical and happy sweethearts.

Marnie-

I L.O.V.E. this painting!!

I love that your boys suggested the picture over the piano! I love the joy I feel knowing how happy those 2 little mice are - and what beautiful music they make together!

As for love SONGS, I've always enjoyed "Brown Eyed Girl" (even though I have blue eyes!), and enjoy "What a Wonderful World" which is more about loving EVERYTHING than loving just one person, but we played it at our wedding because we felt it, like your painting, showed the joy inherant in the relationship between 2 people (or mice!) that really love one another...!

Thanks for the chance to win an original. I've really got my fingers crossed! I feel blessed to have run across your work on etsy.

SUCH a sweet and happy painting!
I would have to say "Glory of Love" by Peter Cetera. It is one of the only "love songs" which makes me absolutely belt out the lyrics (and turn up the stereo volume enough to drown out my voice)!

I must say I am a huge fan and already own several of your paintings. My husband and I are adopting from China and I have about 6 of your paintings in our little girl's room. Just waitng for her to arrive. "let's Play Our Love Song" would be a great addition. Absolutely adorable!

My favorite love song is Etta James' version of "At Last." It took my husband and I a long time to find one another, but we finally did and the song fits perfectly.

James Taylor's "How Sweet It Is." It was our first dance at our wedding and we sing it to our new baby all of the time.
